Nice and simple. I use it in place of my broken speedometer. Easy to read. Highly customizable with extra features you can turn on if you want them. Reply to developer response: THANK YOU!!! The toggle widget is a perfect way to instantly turn the overlay on and off without pulling up the settings screen!!!

Hi, thanks for the positive feedback! You can add a shortcut by long pressing on the Speedoverlay icon on the homescreen and then dragging the toggle shortcut to your home screen. If that option is not available on your device, you can alternatively use the widget. Both of those will start the overlay without showing the settings!

Occasionally, the overlay disappears and restarting the app doesn't seem to bring it back. Restarting the phone seems to work but that's a bit of a heavy handed option. An additional feature I'd like to see: an option to hide the overlay when speed drops below, say, 5mph so it's out of the way when I'm not driving... :-*

Hi, maybe you have enabled the option "Tap to hide"? Then you could show the overlay again using the notification. If that doesn't help, you can email me.
The feature you described would require constant gps usage, which uses a lot of battery. I recommend using the tap to hide feature instead (long tap to hide / notification to show it again).

Love the app. Since a short time it shows 'NO GPS'. Tried turning off all power saving settings, but didn't work for me. Could it be the location permissions? Add the 'Allow all the time' option (instead of just 'when app is in use'). Samsung S10e

Hi, thank you for the feedback! The "Always allow" location permission is only for background location access, which is not required, because the overlay is visible. The next update will use the Google Fused location provider instead of the regular Location Provider, which should improve compatibility.
Best regards
